Frequently asked questions:

When is the best time to book?

I always say it’s never too early to book. It is best to book up to two years in advance. The average is 18 months, however, always ask if your date is available as I am happy to take short notice dates too.

Do you offer consultations prior to booking?

I am happy to meet with you for a coffee and a chat. I understand that it can be a difficult time to decide what hair and makeup artist you want for your special day. I would love to meet you!

How do I pay you?

Please get in touch via email I will then send you a booking form with the details of paying the deposit. When this has been completed please return a signed copy to me.I will then confirm your booking. You can also call or reach out to me through my social media! See Contact page for more information.

Do i need a pre-wedding trial?

In my experience, I have found that unless you are incredibly laid back about your hairstyle on the day and really not too fussy then you really need a trial. However, you are making an investment in yourself to look like you at your very best on your special day.

Part of the preview trial is about getting to know you, your hair, skin, and what your vision is for your look, this will give you the confidence to face your public when all eyes are on you! ?

Of course on the downside! with makeup and hair, there is always a chance of an allergic reaction! This would be better dealt with at the pre-wedding trial.

How long does the pre view trial take? and when should i book it?

A good average time is 12 weeks prior to the wedding as by then you will have most things in place. During the summer it’s a very busy time for weddings, however, I am most flexible on dates during the week.

For hair and makeup please allow three hours. I can travel to you although there would be a charge for this service. Most of the time, I do the trials from home as all of my equipment is on hand.

What if i need hair extensions ?

As part of the trial, I am able to offer hair extensions and colour match. Although I don’t keep these in stock they are available to order. As a qualified hair stylist and colourist I can also offer hair colour/foils/ombre/etc.

If it is not possible to visit me for a colour match then I would advise purchasing your extension at your local salon. PLEASE ENSURE THEY ARE REAL HAIR if you want them to be curled.

For you ladies who have alopecia or going through treatment, I am able to offer a wig supply and style service.

Does airbrushing suit all? (Makeup)

The airbrush makeup I use is of the best quality – not all airbrush makeup is!  I can confirm I hold a certificate of training in airbase.

If you have any sensitivity to makeup you can be reassured that airbase is silicone based and creates a barrier for the makeup to sit on your skin. It is also extremely light, although giving you high durability, heat proof and sweat proof.

False Eyelashes?

While I am happy to fit lashes there is an extra charge for this due to insurance purposes. Please note that I take no responsibility for the use of your lashes or glue should there be a reaction.

What is the minimum booking?

During the busy summer months, I have a minimum requirement for bookings, that being four services which can be mixed hair/makeup.

Are there any payment options available?

When booking I require a deposit to hold your date. When your trial takes place a payment is required, and half of the full quote. Then one month prior to your wedding date the outstanding balance payment is required.

Payment can be made via BACS, cheque or card payment but only in person. I cannot take payment over the phone.

Do You offer a discount for the larger wedding party?

A big yes if you meet the criteria – then there is 10% discount offered. Kindly send me an email with your details.

Do you do destination weddings?

Absolutely yes ! Please get in touch for a quote.

Do you charge for travel?

If you are local to Hereford there is no charge however outside Hereford there is a charge of 50p per mile.

What else do I need to know?

I recommend wearing a cream or ivory top to your pre-wedding trial. Wash your hair as usual but do not use straighteners.
